G2 Aquatics is a new alternative to pool construction as you know it. The company, founded by a designer, Tim Grey, and a builder, Gerard Floyd, provides the general public with a full service design build option.
During new construction, a Homeowner will typically hire a Landscape Architect or an Architect to design their aquatic features. If you are a Homeowner adding a pool to your existing home, you will typically depend on a Pool Contractor for your design needs. Unfortunately, the services of design & build do not typically go hand in hand when describing a Pool Contractor. Assuming you have not hired a Landscape Architect or an Architect to provide design services, your pool contractor will often provide you with a design. When this occurs, your “designer” is most likely a pool sales person who has little to no experience and/or schooling in the field of design. Do you know what your “designer” sold in their previous life....cars, sofas, computers? Not only do they have little to no experience in design, they often have little to no experience in construction. In fact, the chances are good that your salesperson WILL NOT even be involved in the entire process of your project. The salespersons job is to get you, the Client, to sign on the dotted line while they move on to the next potential sale.
